S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

HONORING AND THANKING ANGEL JIMENEZ OF PROVIDENCE FOR HIS

ALERTNESS IN NOTICING THERE WAS A FIRE TAKING PLACE AT HASBRO

     CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND IMMEDIATELY NOTIFYING HIS MOTHER

     WHEREAS, Angel Jimenez was recently visiting his brother at Hasbro Children's

Hospital when, while in the company of his mother, he noticed flames burning at the hospital. He

instantly told his mother who immediately notified one of the Doctors; and

     WHEREAS, According to a spokeswoman for Lifespan, "Flames erupted on the third

floor just after 8:00 pm." Thanks to Angel's alertness and expeditious notification of the

impending danger, the fire was quickly contained and no patients were hurt; and

     WHEREAS, In appreciation of Angel's heroics, he got to wear a firefighter helmet and

take a ride in a fire truck. Mr. Timothy Babineau, Chief Executive Officer and President of

Lifespan, said of Angel, "He is a hero. He's a superhero. We always talk about the superheroes at

Hasbro Children's Hospital. He really is a superhero"; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby honors and thanks Angel Jimenez for his alertness in noticing there was a fire taking place

at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and immediately notifying his mother; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Angel Jimenez.
