S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MICHAEL C. RUSSO

     Introduced By: Senators Lombardo, Ruggerio, Bell, Satchell, and Sheehan

     WHEREAS, Michael C. Russo, of Johnston, passed away on February 3, 2019, at Rhode

Island Hospital; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Russo was born in Providence, the son of Gloria Russo and the late

Joseph Russo, Sr., and was a hard-working employee of the Town of Johnston with the Parks and

Recreation Department for thirty-three years; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to his mother, Mr. Russo leaves behind his son, Michael Russo

and his grand-dog Brielle. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Russo, Jr., and his wife,

Kathy, and his sister, Donna Russo Cascella; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Russo was a dedicated family man. He was a devoted father to his son

Michael, a loving son and sibling, and a friend to many. His passing is a grievous loss for his

family and all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family

and friends; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences to the Russo Family on the passing of Michael C. Russo; and be

it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Gloria L. Russo and Family.
