S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF HELEN F. ROSE

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Helen

2

F. Rose, the loving wife to the late Edward Rose, and the cherished mother of Edward Jr., and

3

Patricia Russell; and

4

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Rose was born in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late

5

Daniel and Hazel Gribbin, and the devoted sister of Daniel Gribbin, Francis Gribbin, and Gladys

6

Mulligan; and

7

     WHEREAS, For the past thirty-seven years, Mrs. Rose had made her home in the Town

8

of Burrillville, and had previously been a resident of the Town of Cumberland, where she had

9

been employed at the former Healthtex Co. for twenty years, before her retirement in 1984; and

10

     WHEREAS, With a loving personality, Mrs. Rose had created a home that was warm and

11

welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her grandchildren, Dawn Fiore, Sharon Barber,

12

Alan Russell and Heather Stockwell, and her nine great-grandchildren; and

13

     WHEREAS, Also devoted to her faith, Mrs. Rose was a member of the Rosary & Altar

14

Society at St. Patrick’s Church in Harrisville; and

15

     WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Helen Rose, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and

16

friend to many, left an indelible mark on the lives of those she knew and loved, and she will be

17

dearly missed; now, therefore be it

18

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

19

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Helen F. Rose; and be it further

20

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Edward Rose, Jr., and Patricia Russell.
