in practice;

6

     (2) Develop a common terminology and structure to organize evidence;

7

     (3) Discuss and agree upon certain skills and behaviors that may be high priorities

8

according to that educator's role and responsibilities, as well as to their professional practice and

9

student learning needs; and

10

     (4) Make informed professional judgments about performance ratings based on each of

11

the Rhode Island professional educator standards pursuant to 200-RICR-20-20-1.3.

12

     (d) The rubrics shall:

13

     (1) Describe teaching practice;

14

     (2) Be designed to be applicable to general education teachers from pre-K through

17

     (e) On or before September 1, 2020, local education agencies (LEAs) shall adopt the

Provided, however, an LEA may revise existing local evaluation systems to be comparably

21

be in compliance with this section.

22

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
