EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MARILYN ALMOND

     WHEREAS, Marilyn Almond of Lincoln, passed away on July 20, 2019. She was the

2

beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Almond, Jr. She was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late

3

Joseph and Annie Tierney, and had lived in Lincoln for the past fifty-two years; and

4

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Almond was a devoted wife and mother who strove tirelessly to create

5

a warm and nurturing home for her family. She was also a hard-working woman, serving as a

6

clerk at the former Hogan’s Pharmacy in Lincoln, and the former Adams Drugs in Central Falls.

7

She was a member of the Lincoln Manor Tenants Association and Christ Church, both in Lincoln;

8

and

9

     WHEREAS, Marilyn Almond is survived by her children, David A. Almond, and his

10

wife, Joanmarie, the Honorable T. Joseph Almond, Lincoln Town Administrator, and his wife,

11

Alison, Karen Gomes, and her husband, Joseph, Linda Almond, and her husband Matthew

12

Downs, Lesley Beauregard, and Michael Almond, and his wife Lisa. She also leaves behind her

13

grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jarred, Jennamarie, Sophia, Megan, Kathlene, Thomas, Joseph,

14

Alison, Caitlin, Catherine, Nick and Cassie, and her great-grandchildren, Mason, Willow,

15

Arianna, Arianna, Joseph, Taylor, Cole, Aidan, Archer, Aveline, Elijah, Annabelle, Victoria,

16

Haley, and Lucas. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by

17

her grandson, David Jr., and sisters, Ethel “Penny” Taylor and Eileen Duffy;

18

     WHEREAS, The loss of Marilyn Almond is a grievous loss but the joy and inspiration

19

she gave to her family and friends on a daily basis will never be forgotten; and now, therefore be

20

it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

2

Providence Plantations hereby expresses its condolences to the Almond Family on the passing of

3

Marilyn Almond; and be it further

4

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

5

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to David A. Almond, the Honorable T. Joseph

6

Almond, Karen Gomes, Linda Almond, Lesley Beauregard, and Michael Almond.
