	RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES -- SCHOOL BUS SPEED LIMITS

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Chapter 31-14 of the General Laws entitled "Speed Restrictions" is hereby
2	amended by adding thereto the following section:
3	31-14-14. School bus speed limit.
4	No school bus, as defined in § 31-1-3, shall be operated, on a limited access highway, as
5	defined in § 31-1-23, at a speed greater than ten miles per hour (10 mph) less than the posted
6	speed limit.
7	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

	BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

1	This act would establish a speed limit for school buses being driven on a limited access
2	highway to ten miles per hour (10mph) less than the posted speed limit.
3	This act would take effect upon passage.
