	RELATING TO COURTS AND CIVIL PROCEDURE--PROCEDURE GENERALLY -- FEES

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 9-29-5 of the General Laws in Chapter 9-29 entitled "Fees" is hereby
2	amended to read as follows:
3	9-29-5. Jurors' fees.
4	All grand and petit jurors shall be paid for each day's attendance on the superior court
5	twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day commencing July 1, 2021, which shall increase to each fifteen
6	dollars ($15.00), thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per day commencing July 1, 2022 and thereafter. The
7	and the general assembly shall annually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary to carry
8	out the purposes of this section.
9	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

	BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

1	This act would raise the juror's fees for each day's attendance on the superior court from
2	fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day to twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day commencing July 1, 2020,
3	and increase to thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per day commencing July 1, 2021 and thereafter.
4	This act would take effect upon passage.
