It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 30-24 of the General Laws entitled "Rhode Island Veterans' Home" |
2 | is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 30-24-10.2. Access to dining room -- Relatives and guests. |
4 | (a) Any resident of the Rhode Island veterans' home shall be allowed to have, as lunch |
5 | and/or dinner companions, members of the resident's immediate family or in the alternative, two |
6 | (2) guests at no charge to the resident or to the immediate family members or guests. |
7 | (b) As used in this section, the term "immediate family" includes spouse, child, parent or |
8 | sibling of a resident. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
