	H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N
	EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF ENID YURMAN

1	WHEREAS, It is with profound sadness that this House has learned of the passing of
2	Enid Yurman, devoted wife of fifty-eight years to Sigmund Yurman, beloved mother of our
3	friend and colleague, the Honorable Mia Ackerman and husband, Barry, Ronald Yurman, and
4	Jennifer Sloan, and the very proud grandmother of Samuel and Elicia Ackerman, Jonah and
5	Aaron Yurman, and Rachel and Jacob Charvat; and
6	WHEREAS, Mrs. Yurman made her home in Merrick, New York. She was employed at
7	the former Gimbels Department Store for many years, and had later worked as an administrative
8	assistant for a business broker; and
9	WHEREAS, Mrs. Yurman loved to bake for her family, friends, and neighbors. She
10	enjoyed numerous hobbies including watching professional wrestling on television, and was very
11	talented in creating myriad needle crafts including needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, quilting and
12	more; and
13	WHEREAS, The most fitting tribute to Enid Yurman is a celebration of her life, a life in
14	which each and every day was lived fully. She brightened and enriched the lives of her friends
15	and loved ones and she will be dearly missed and forever remembered; now, therefore be it
16	RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and
17	Providence Plantations hereby expresses its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Enid Yurman.
18	May her memory be a blessing, for what we have once enjoyed, we can never lose; be it further
19	RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
20	transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Sigmund Yurman, the Honorable Mia
