1 | RESOLVED, That the special Senate commission created by resolution No. 401 passed |
2 | by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2019, and approved June 26, 2019, entitled "Senate |
3 | Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission to Study the Effect and Procedures for the |
4 | Reorganization of The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC)" is hereby |
5 | authorized to continue its study and make a report to the Senate on or before June 9, 2020, and |
6 | said commission shall expire on January 12, 2021; and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 401 passed by the |
8 | Senate at its January session, A.D. 2019, and approved June 26, 2019, be and the same is hereby |
9 | rescinded; and be it further |
10 | RESOLVED, That the composition of said legislative commission is hereby amended by |
11 | decreasing the membership to eleven (11) members, by changing the number of Senate members |
12 | from six (6) to three (3) Senate members, not more than two (2) from the same political party, to |
13 | be appointed by the President of the Senate, and by decreasing the number of commercial |
14 | fishermen from two (2) to one, to be appointed by the President of the Senate. |

1 | This resolution would amend and decrease the membership of said commission from |
2 | fifteen (15) to eleven (11), and extend the reporting and expiration dates of the special legislative |
3 | commission to study the effect and procedures for the reorganization of The Rhode Island Coastal |
4 | Resources Management Council (CRMC) from January 2, 2020, to June 9, 2020, and said |
5 | commission would expire on January 12, 2021. |
