S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF TALIA DELMONICO

     

     Introduced By: Senators Lombardo, Nesselbush, and Archambault

     WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Talia

2

Delmonico. She was the beloved daughter of Anthony Delmonico and Nicolette Matthews and

3

her husband, Bradford; and

4

     WHEREAS, Ms. Delmonico was a graduate of Johnston Senior High School and the

5

University of Rhode Island. She was a science teacher at Shea High School who worked tirelessly

6

every day to make a positive impact in the lives of all the pupils she taught. She was an

7

innovative teacher who was passionate about the importance of science in the world and in the

8

daily lives of her students; and

9

     WHEREAS, In addition to her parents, Ms. Delmonico leaves behind her brothers,

10

Anthony Delmonico and Marco Delmonico; and

11

     WHEREAS, Talia Delmonico was a shining star who burned brightly and the memory of

12

the love and service she gave will live on forever in the lives of her family and many friends, and

13

she will be sorely missed by her students and colleagues at Shea High School; now, therefore be

14

it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

16

hereby expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Talia Delmonico; and be it further

 

1

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

2

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Anthony Delmonico and Nicolette Matthews.
