EXTENDING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MARIE MELLO | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Marie |
2 | Mello, the wife of the late Raymond Mello, mother of Helen DiBiase and Barbara Mello, and a |
3 | longtime resident of the City of Pawtucket; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Born in Kenitra, Morocco, Mrs. Mello was the daughter of the late Phillip |
5 | and Francoise Campillo; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Mello created a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on |
7 | her family and was particularly proud of her two grandchildren, Heather DiBiase and Raegan |
8 | DiBiase, and her three great-grandchildren, Peter Haas, III, Sarah Olson, and Sophia Olson; and |
9 | WHEREAS, In addition to raising her family, Mrs. Mello had worked as a secretary |
10 | at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island for more than twenty-five years; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Marie Mello was a gracious and lovely woman who was blessed with a |
12 | beautiful family, good friends, and a long life. There is no doubt that she left an indelible mark on |
13 | the lives of those she knew and loved, and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
14 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
15 | hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Marie Mello; and be it further |
16 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
17 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Helen DiBiase and Barbara Mello. |
