S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

CONGRATULATING THE BARRINGTON UNDER 12 ALL STAR TEAM ON THEIR

SUCCESS IN THE 2019 LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES

     Introduced By: Senators Coyne, Goldin, Seveney, DiPalma, and Murray

     WHEREAS, According to the Little League International, this year 6,600 teams in the

United States and across the globe played approximately 16,000 All Star games in order to

narrow the field to the 16 regional champion teams who earned a trip to Williamsport,

Pennsylvania; and

     WHEREAS, The Barrington Under 12 All Star Team began its magical ride when they

came back from a five run deficit in the top of the sixth inning in a winner-take-all game to win

the State Little League Title and advance in the Little League World Series; and

     WHEREAS, The Barrington squad went on to become the first team from Barrington to

advance to Williamsport after defeating the Goffstown, New Hampshire Team to become the

New England Region champions; and

     WHEREAS, The incredible achievements made by the Barrington Under 12 All Star

Team would have been impossible without the excellent coaching and leadership provided by

Manager Chris Promades, and Coaches E.J. Anderson and Frank Fede, as well as the hard work

and selfless sacrifices made by players Alex Anderson, James Caldarella, Cullen Crain, Mason

Crain, Will DiGiacomo, Blake Dolan, Matt Fede, Miles Fontaine, Henry Kelsey, Owen Pfeffer,

Christopher Promades, Lucas Tanous and Chase Watts; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby congratulates the Barrington Under 12 All Star Team on their success in the Little League

World Series; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Chris Promades, Manager, Barrington

Under 12 All Star Team.
