	EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF PENELOPE D. QUINN

1	WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of
2	Penelope D. Quinn, the loving mother of Karen Centracchio and her husband, Corey; and
3	WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the Town of West Warwick, "Penny" as she was
4	fondly called by her family and many friends, was a daughter of the late former Rhode Island
5	Governor Robert Quinn and Mary Quinn, and the sister of Pauline Fallow, and the late Norma
6	Richards, Robert Quinn, and Cameron Quinn; and
7	WHEREAS, Penny Quinn was employed as an administrative aide at West Warwick
8	High School. She had also served as a Student Council Advisor and girls Tennis Coach for many
9	years before retiring; and
10	WHEREAS, A familiar face and integral part of the High School staff, Ms. Quinn "was
11	always there with a smile, a helping hand, and words of encouragement whenever it was needed";
12	and
13	WHEREAS, Ms. Quinn created a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her
14	family and was enormously proud of her grandchildren, Evan and Mya, with whom she loved to
15	spend her time. She was also the aunt to many nieces and nephews; and
16	WHEREAS, Penny Quinn was a kind and lovely woman and she will be dearly missed
17	by all who had the good fortune to have shared her life; now, therefore be it
18	RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations
19	hereby expresses its deepest sympathies on the passing of Penelope D. Quinn; and be it further
20	RESOLVED, The Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to transmit

1	a duly certified copy of this resolution to Karen Centracchio and Family.
