It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 162, under the heading of "Office of Health and Human Services" |
2 | in Article 1, as amended, Section 1, of the Public Laws of 2021, entitled "AN ACT MAKING |
3 | APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE STATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING |
4 | JUNE 30, 2022" is hereby amended to read as follows: |

1 | This act would appropriate $1.0 million in state funds to nonprofit hospitals serving large |
2 | governmentally insured populations with a primary care focused (internal medicine and/or family |
3 | practice) program that started after January 1, 2021, acting as the sole source of immediate access |
4 | to hospital care for residents of the areas they serve and that are essential to the maintenance of |
5 | public health and safety. |
