EXPRESSING SENTITE CONDOGLIANZE ON THE PASSING OF ROSA FABIANO | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with heartfelt sorrow that this House has learned of the passing of Rosa |
2 | Fabiano, the wife of the late John Fabiano, and the cherished mother of our good friend and |
3 | colleague, State Representative, Dr. Arthur J. Corvese and his wife, Terry; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Rose, as she was known to family and friends, was the only child of the late |
5 | Giovanni and Maria DiPompeo. She was a lifelong resident of the Town of North Providence, |
6 | where she resided in the home her parents had built when they married; and |
7 | WHEREAS, As a proud first-generation Italian-American, Mrs. Fabiano had spoken |
8 | Italian at home and learned English in 1st grade. As a young girl, she developed a passion for |
9 | theater, and ultimately earned the highest drama honor during her senior year at North Providence |
10 | High School; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Fabiano doted on her family who were her "greatest love and proudest |
12 | legacy", particularly her grandchildren, Maria Lenz and her husband, Matthew, and Christina M. |
13 | Corvese, and her two beloved great-grandchildren, Alexander and Angelina Lenz; and |
14 | WHEREAS, In addition to making a wonderful home for her family, Mrs. Fabiano was |
15 | employed in the Accounts Receivable Department of The Outlet Company for many years until it |
16 | closed, and subsequently worked as a Senior Operator at Blue Cross for almost twenty years |
17 | before retiring; and |
18 | WHEREAS, An avid baseball fan, Mrs. Fabiano enjoyed cheering for her favorite team, |
19 | the New York Yankees. She was a fabulous baker and cook, specializing in La Vagilia on |
20 | Christmas Eve. She also loved to shop and read, delighted in everything chocolate, and all things |

1 | politics, which she most certainly passed down to her son; and |
2 | WHEREAS, Rose Fabiano was the Matriarch of her family who has left an indelible |
3 | mark on the lives of those she knew and loved, and she is dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
4 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby |
5 | extends sentite condoglianze on the passing of Rosa Fabiano and wishes her family peace, |
6 | comfort, and courage at this difficult time; and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
8 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Dr. Arthur J. Corvese and |
9 | Family. |
