H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

THANKING REPRESENTATIVE JUSTIN K. PRICE FOR HIS EIGHT YEARS OF SERVICE

TO THE PEOPLE OF HOPKINTON, EXETER AND RICHMOND IN THE RHODE ISLAND

GENERAL ASSEMBLY

J Lombardi, Fenton-Fung, Edwards, and Abney

     WHEREAS, To the good fortune of the citizens of Rhode Island House District 39, Justin

K. Price was elected to represent them in the Rhode Island House of Representatives. During his

eight year tenure, he has served them with abiding integrity and has been a tireless advocate on

their behalf; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Price was a dedicated member of the House Minority

Caucus, and most recently served as a member of the House Municipal Government and Housing

Committee, Small Business Committee, Special Legislation Committee and the House Veterans’

Affairs Committee. Over the years, he has been a passionate voice in support of fiscal

responsibility, lower taxes, the Second Amendment and unborn life. He also successfully

sponsored a bill that reconfigured the Chariho Regional School Committee to better represent the

most recent census data; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Price is a North Kingstown High School graduate and

attended Virginia State College. He served our nation with honor for four years as an active duty

member of the United States Marine Corps, and he is a hard-working self-employed man who

worked as a fisherman before becoming a carpenter. Representative Price played a key role in the

revitalization of the Historic Shannock Village in Richmond. He also served as a member of the

Richmond Republican Town Committee and is an active member of the Richmond Historical

Society; and

     WHEREAS, A passionate ally of the commercial fishing industry, Representative Price

worked collaboratively with that community throughout his time in the Legislature; now,

therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby

thanks Representative Justin Price for his eight years of distinguished service in the Rhode Island

House of Representatives and wishes him continued success in all of his future endeavors; and be

it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Justin K. Price.
