1 | RESOLVED, That the rules for the House of Representatives adopted by the House of |
2 | Representatives at its January session A.D. 2021 entitled "House Resolutions Adopting the rules |
3 | of the House of Representatives for the years 2021 and 2022", be and the same is hereby |
4 | amended by adding thereto the following: |
5 | (49) Medical Necessity Proxy Vote |
6 | The Speaker may authorize a member to vote by proxy, in accordance with the procedure |
7 | provided in section (47), provided that member is unable to be physically present due to a health |
8 | condition. The proxy vote request shall be submitted in writing to the Speaker with a physician's |
9 | letter documenting the presence of a health condition which necessitates the vote by proxy. |
