RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- STATE BUILDING CODE | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 23-27.3 of the General Laws entitled "State Building Code" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 23-27.3-129.4. Refrigerants. |
4 | No provision of the Rhode Island building code, or other local code, may prohibit or |
5 | otherwise limit the use of a refrigerant designated as acceptable for use pursuant to and in |
6 | accordance with the provisions of 42 U.S.C. 7671k; provided any equipment containing such |
7 | refrigerant is listed and installed in accordance with safety standards and use conditions imposed |
8 | pursuant to such designation. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |

5 | This act would take effect upon passage. |
