RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- SOLAR PANEL DISPOSAL | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Title 23 of the General Laws entitled "HEALTH AND SAFETY" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following chapter: |
3 | CHAPTER 99 |
4 | SOLAR PANEL DISPOSAL |
5 | 23-99-1. Solar panel disposal. |
6 | No person shall dispose of any solar panels within the state except by delivery of the solar |
7 | panel to a facility operated by the Rhode Island resource recovery corporation designated for that |
8 | purpose. The Rhode Island resource recovery corporation shall determine the fee to be charged for |
9 | the disposal of the solar panel. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
