It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 39-18 of the General Laws entitled "Rhode Island Public Transit |
2 | Authority" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 39-18-25. Bus benches. |
4 | The authority shall conduct a study exploring the feasibility of installing as many benches |
5 | in front of the authority's bus stops as possible. The report shall be completed by March 1, 2024, |
6 | with its recommendations and the estimated costs and transmitted to the governor and the house |
7 | and senate finance committees. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
