RELATING TO PUBLIC FINANCE -- STATE FUNDS | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 35-4 of the General Laws entitled "State Funds" is hereby amended |
2 | by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 35-4-29. Disclosure and transparency required. |
4 | Any person or entity receiving state, federal or city or town funds, whether in the form of |
5 | a grant for general support or for a particular project or by way of a tax reduction pursuant to an |
6 | incentive program, shall disclose the names of all contractors and subcontractors as part of the |
7 | bidding or grant application process or as part of the required certification for continuing in such |
8 | incentive program. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
