1 | WHEREAS, Accurate data is necessary to identify usage and the need for a wide range of |
2 | bicycle path enhancements and improvements in safety and maintenance, in order to achieve a |
3 | clear vision for cycling in the state and address equity and differences in access between |
4 | communities; now, therefore be it |
5 | RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not |
6 | otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024, the sum of two hundred seventy-five |
7 | thousand dollars ($275,000) to the Rhode Island department of environmental management to |
8 | purchase counters, and maintain, collect and analyze year-round data on bike path usage |
9 | throughout the state; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders |
10 | upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be from time |
11 | to time required, upon receipt of properly authenticated vouchers. |
