1	WHEREAS, Accurate data is necessary to identify usage and the need for a wide range of
2	bicycle path enhancements and improvements in safety and maintenance, in order to achieve a
3	clear vision for cycling in the state and address equity and differences in access between
4	communities; now, therefore be it
5	RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not
6	otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024, the sum of two hundred seventy-five
7	thousand dollars ($275,000) to the Rhode Island department of environmental management to
8	purchase counters, and maintain, collect and analyze year-round data on bike path usage
9	throughout the state; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders
10	upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be from time
11	to time required, upon receipt of properly authenticated vouchers.
