It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 40-8.14 of the General Laws entitled "Quality Self-Directed |
2 | Services" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 40-8.14-4.1. Compensation rates for individual providers of direct support services. |
4 | In accordance with the secretary's authority under ยง 40-8.14-4(c)(1), the hourly |
5 | compensation rates for "individual providers" shall be no less than sixteen dollars ($16.00) per hour |
6 | beginning April 1, 2023; increasing to no less than seventeen dollars ($17.00) per hour on June 30, |
7 | 2023; increasing to no less than eighteen dollars ($18.00) per hour on December 31, 2023 and no |
8 | less than nineteen dollars ($19.00) per hour on June 30, 2024, and continuing. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
