1 | RESOLVED, That the rules of the House of Representatives adopted by the House of |
2 | Representatives at it's January session A.D. 2023 entitled "House Resolution Adopting the Rules |
3 | of the House of Representatives for the years 2023 and 2024, be and the same is hereby amended |
4 | by adding the following language to Rule (12) on page 11, between lines 6 and 7; |
5 | (n) A committee shall only take testimony on a bill if the bill sponsor or another member |
6 | of the House is present to formally present the bill to the committee. Provided, however, this rule |
7 | shall not apply to any town or city bill. This provision may be waived at the discretion of the |
8 | committee chair. |
