S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF RAYMOND H. GOULET

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of

2

Raymond H. Goulet of East Providence, the beloved husband of Jeannette Goulet for 52 years;

3

and

4

     WHEREAS, Mr. Goulet was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Hector and Yvonne

5

Goulet. He was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy and Rhode Island College, and proudly

6

served our nation with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and

7

     WHEREAS, After completing his military service, Mr. Goulet had a long, successful and

8

distinguished professional career as a financial analyst for A.T. Cross, FDIC, and Thermo

9

Scientific. He was a tireless worker who strove daily to provide for his family and loved ones;

10

and

11

     WHEREAS, Mr. Goulet was a beloved figure in the community who always had a kind

12

smile on his face and was admired for his quick wit. He was an avid sports fan who especially

13

enjoyed following his beloved New York Yankees, but his first priority in life was always his

14

family and being the best husband, father, son, brother and grandfather possible; and

15

     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Jeannette, he leaves behind his daughter, Janet

16

Ferrari and her husband, David, and his two grandchildren, Morgan Arlene and Luke Neal. He is

17

also survived by his sister, Rita Gervais. He was the brother of the late Robert Goulet and

18

brother-in-law of the late Neal Dye; now, therefore be it

19

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest

20

condolences on the passing of Raymond H. Goulet; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

2

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Jeannette Goulet and Family.
