EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ROBERT A. JASON | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Robert |
2 | A. Jason, the beloved husband of Inez Jason for 65 years; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was born in Providence, the son of the late Anthony and Mary |
4 | Jason; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was a United States Army Veteran who served our nation with |
6 | honor and distinction. He was a hard-working man who strove daily to provide for his family, |
7 | working as an X-Ray Technician for Fatima Hospital and previously for Woonsocket Hospital; |
8 | and |
9 | WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was an avid sports fan who was a passionate supporter of the |
10 | University of Rhode Island and Providence College. He was also an avid golfer, but the first |
11 | priority in his life was always his family; and |
12 | WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Inez, Mr. Jason leaves behind his children, Christine |
13 | Jason, Charlotte Jason-Silveira and her husband, Michael, and Stephen Jason and his wife, |
14 | Cheryl. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Britany, Michael and Gregory Jason, and was |
15 | predeceased by his son, David Jason, and his brother, Richard Jason; now, therefore be it |
16 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its |
17 | condolences on the passing of Robert A. Jason; and be it further |
18 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
19 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Inez Jason, Christine Jason, |
