S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ROBERT A. JASON

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Robert

A. Jason, the beloved husband of Inez Jason for 65 years; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was born in Providence, the son of the late Anthony and Mary

Jason; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was a United States Army Veteran who served our nation with

honor and distinction. He was a hard-working man who strove daily to provide for his family,

working as an X-Ray Technician for Fatima Hospital and previously for Woonsocket Hospital;

and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Jason was an avid sports fan who was a passionate supporter of the

University of Rhode Island and Providence College. He was also an avid golfer, but the first

priority in his life was always his family; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Inez, Mr. Jason leaves behind his children, Christine

Jason, Charlotte Jason-Silveira and her husband, Michael, and Stephen Jason and his wife,

Cheryl. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Britany, Michael and Gregory Jason, and was

predeceased by his son, David Jason, and his brother, Richard Jason; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its

condolences on the passing of Robert A. Jason; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Inez Jason, Christine Jason,

Charlotte Jason-Silveira, and Stephen Jason.
