S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DANIEL D. LANAGAN

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Daniel

D. Lanagan, the beloved soulmate of his fiancée, Lisa Robidoux; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lanagan was born in Woonsocket, son of Debra Ducharme and the late

David H. Lanagan, and the stepson of Wayne Ducharme; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lanagan was a United States Army Veteran who served our nation with

honor and distinction; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lanagan was a Master Plumber and the owner operator of Lanagan

Plumbing and RI Plumbsurance. He was a hard-working man who strove daily to provide for his

family and loved ones; and

     WHEREAS, In his free time, Mr. Lanagan enjoyed spending time with his children,

bowling, playing pool and cards, especially poker. He was also a passionate collector of

Presidential coins and had a great love for reading about and studying history. He was a very

patriotic man who dearly loved his country and was a member of the American Legion Post 85.

He was also a very spiritual man and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 113;

and

     WHEREAS, In addition to his mother and fiancée, Mr. Lanagan leaves behind his

daughters, Briana Goss, Emily, Ava, and Kayden Lanagan, and his siblings, Deanna Lanagan,

Jennifer Leclair, and her husband, Matthew, Hope Lavallee, and Christopher Powell. He is also

survived by his grandson, Oliver, and several cousins, nieces and nephews; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its

condolences on the passing of Daniel D. Lanagan; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Debra Ducharme and Lisa Robidoux and

Family.
