The Senate meets pursuant to adjournment and is called to order by His Honor, the Lieutenant Governor, Charles J. Fogarty, at 4:00 o'clock P.M.

The roll is called and a quorum is declared present with 49 Senators present and 1 Senator absent as follows:

GUESTS


Upon suggestion of Senate Majority Leader Irons, and by unanimous consent, His Honor, the Lieutenant Governor, welcomes to the Chamber Senator McBurney's son, Patrick McBurney, prosecuting attorney in the mute court at the Pegasus Program at LaSalle Academy. He was successful in convicting Jack of killing the giant. He was convicted on two counts: 1) killing the beanstalk and 2) vandalism to the beanstalk. His legal career is well on the way. His father's firm will have a new associate in the distant future.
