Assist with your spirit of counsel and fortitude The Leaders of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, That their
administration may be conducted in righteousness,
And be eminently useful to your people whom they serve. May they encourage due respect for virtue and honor. May they
exercise authority with justice and mercy. May they seek to restrain crime, vice and immortality,
Let the light of your divine wisdom Direct the deliberations of this august body And shine forth in all proceedings and laws
Framed for our rule and government. May they seek to preserve peace, promote happiness,
And continue to bring us the blessings of liberty and equality.
We pray for all the members of the legislature, for judges, elected officials
And all others who are entrusted to guard our political welfare.
May they be enabled by your powerful protection to discharge
Their duties with honesty and ability. May they seek the common good
and always hear the voice of the voiceless in our society.

NEVER FORGET
BY PATRICK NASSANEY

Shawn;
Will I ever look at an open grassy field again and not see you running along its periphery Some day perhaps... but not now
Will I ever not see you in the loose athletic gait of a young man So me day perhaps... but not now
Will the lyrics of certain songs ever fail to bring tears Some day perhaps ... but not now
Will I ever stop desperately trying to feel your presence in all and anything you ever touched Some day perhaps ... but not now
Will I ever take a deep breath and smell the season and not well up over the fact that you can no longer do the same Some day perhaps ... but not now
Will I ever see a pretty young lady like your Lynn and not feel an unbearable loss Some day perhaps ... but not now
Will I ever stop looking for the third son's car arriving or leaving from a family gathering Some day perhaps... but not now
Will I ever stop miscounting places at the table Some day perhaps... but not now
Will I ever root for the Yanks or PC as feverishly as in your company Some day perhaps... but not now
Will basketball, baseball and football pickup games never seem to be always one man short Some day perhaps.. but not now
Will the best of good times ever not be dimmed Some day perhaps.. but not now
Will I ever feel again "not to worry, it's under control" Some day perhaps... but not now
Will you ever not be part of me Never

Love, Mom & Dad
