The House of Representatives meets at the State House in Providence, Wednesday, February 4, 1998, and is called to order at 3:19 o'clock P.M., by the Honorable Mabel M. Anderson, Speaker Pro Tempore.
The roll is called and a quorum is declared present with 93 members present and 7 members absent as follows:
ABSENT 7: The Honorable Speaker Harwood and Representatives Anzeveno, Farrell, Fleury, Kelley, Millard, Watson.
INVOCATION
The Honorable Speaker Pro Tempore presents Representative Sherlock, who delivers the Invocation and leads the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Representatives Hetherington, Pisaturo, Cicilline and Carpenter introduce (98-H 8376) House Resolution extending the reporting date of the special House commission to study discrimination against students in the public schools.
