RELATING TO THE MOTOR VEHICLE REPARATIONS ACT --
SUNSET PROVISION

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 380 of the 1993 Public Laws entitled "AN ACT RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES" as amended is hereby further amended to read as follows:

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon passage and shall be automatically repealed seven (7) years after its passage without the necessity of further action by the general assembly.

SECTION 2. Legislative intent. - The purpose of this act is to remove the automatic sunset provision from the motor vehicle reparations act as enacted by the general assembly in chapter 380 of the 1993 public laws and as later amended by chapter 194 of the 1996 public laws.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
