It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. There shall be presented to the qualified electors of the Town of Cumberland, at the next general election or special election for their approval or rejection, the following question:

"Shall there be created a Town of Cumberland Municipal Fire Department?"

SECTION 2. The board of canvassers of the Town of Cumberland shall notify the secretary of state of the result of the vote upon the question submitted.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
