It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Anthony J. Danato of Providence, Rhode Island, may join Jennifer A. Johns and William R. Marrapese both residents of the state of Rhode Island, in marriage at a place within the town of Portsmouth on October 29, 2000. Anthony Danato is hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
