RELATING TO TAXATION -- LEVY AND ASSESSMENT OF LOCAL TAXES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 44-5 of the General Laws entitled "Levy and Assessment of Local Taxes" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

44-5-11.9. Residential real estate classification -- West Warwick. -- Notwithstanding any provision within section 44-5-11.8 to the contrary, the town of West Warwick may adopt a separate tax classification for residential real estate of four (4) or more dwelling units.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
