RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Robert Carothers, President of the University of Rhode Island and resident of the town of South Kingstown, may join Jennifer Carothers and David Crozier in marriage at a place within the state of Rhode Island on July 13, 2002. Mr. Carothers is hereby authorized and empowered to join the forgoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
