RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2002-2003 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the following:

Representative Raymond E. Gallison, Jr.

the sum of $50.00 to pay the claim of Nathan Beranbaum c/o Administrator's Office, Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, Rhode Island 02809 for the disappearance of funds while in the custody and control of state of Rhode Island employees at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, in the town of Bristol on or about June 17, 2001;

Representative Anastasia P. Williams

the sum of $391.95 to pay the claim of Dr. Ronald A. Charles of 75 E. Willow Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02909 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 95 southbound and Robin Hollow overpass, in the town of West Greenwich, on or about September 25, 2001;

the sum of $170.95 to pay the claim of Elizabeth L. Farrell of 14 Fletcher Street, East Providence, Rhode Island 02916 for damages to her vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Pontiac Avenue and Route 37, in the city of Cranston, on or about March 14, 2001;

Maciocia of 108 Humbert Street, North Providence, Rhode Island 02911 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by spalling concrete falling from the Route 146 southbound overpass and Mineral Spring Avenue, in the town of North Providence, on or about October 29, 2001;

the sum of $140.36 to pay the claim of Arthur J. Richard of 21 Garvin Street, Cumberland, Rhode Island 02864 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Sneech Pond Road and Staples Road, Route 120 westbound, in the town of Cumberland, on or about May 24, 2001;

the sum of $1,074.97 to pay the claim of Amica Mutual Insurance Company, P.O. Box 6008, Providence, Rhode Island 02940 as subrogee of Michael J. Silva of 322 B Mountaindale Road, Smithfield, Rhode Island 02896 for damages to their insured's vehicle when it struck a section of metal from the bridge abutment that had fallen at or near Route 295 southbound and the Greenville Avenue overpass, in the town of Johnston, on or about December 28, 2000;

Tasca, Jr. of 67 Rice Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island 02914 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by a descending gate arm, as a result of a faulty sensor, at or near the Department of Administration parking lot, in the city of Providence, on or about February 6, 2002;

the sum of $319.78 to pay the claim of Michael Walker of 172 Weeden Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island 02812 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by a descending gate arm, triggered by a faulty computer processing board at or near the exit onto Ives Road, Goddard Memorial State Park, Warwick, on or about June 9, 2001;

the sum of $596.36 to pay the claim of Joseph E. Warburton of 67 Adams Street, Warwick, Rhode Island 02888 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Narragansett Boulevard and Alabama Street, in the city of Providence, on or about June 16,


2001; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sums.
