RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2002-2003, the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the following:

Senator Daniel DaPonte

the sum of $62.54 to pay the claim of Patricia D. Reistetter of 48 Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook, Connecticut 06475, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect at or near Route 138 westbound, opposite 57 Spring Street, in the town of Hopkinton, on or about September 15, 2001;

Senator David E. Bates

the sum of $190.00 to pay the claim of Charlotte A. Broomhead of 180 Sowams Road, Barrington, Rhode Island 02806 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by airborne debris hurled by a lawn mower during a grass cutting procedure at or near the East Bay Bicycle Path, Hidden Gardens, 212 County Road, in the town of Barrington, on or about June 19, 2001;

Senator Daniel DaPonte

the sum of $578.03 to pay the claim of Amica Mutual Insurance Company, P.O. Box 6008, Providence, Rhode Island 02940 as subrogee of Ralph M. Ciunci of 130 Village Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island 02920 for damages to their insured's vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near the ramp to Route 10 northbound and Garfield Street, in the city of Cranston, on or about March 13, 2001;

Senator William A. Walaska

the sum of $183.12 to pay the claim of Timothy DelGuidice of 61 Chapin Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island 02889 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 95, Exit 25 access road eastbound in the city of Providence, on or about January 15, 2002;

Senator Walsh

the sum of $115.12 to pay the claim of Annette Diaz of 55 Shannock Hill Road, Carolina, Rhode Island 02812, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect at or near Route 112 northbound, and just south of the intersection with Route 91 in the town of Charlestown, on or about September 16, 2001;

Senator John A. Celona

the sum of $95.00 to pay the claim of Ralph P. Fargnoli of 15 Meadow View Blvd., North Providence, Rhode Island 02904, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by a descending armgate, as a result of a faulty sensor, at or near the Smith Street parking area, in the city of Providence, on or about January 3, 2002;

Senator Walter S. Felag

the sum of $148.69 to pay the claim of Rev. Edmund H. Fitzgerald of 171 School House Road, Warren, Rhode Island 02885 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near School House Road and Kickemuit River Bridge, in the town of Warren, on or about June 22, 2001;

Senator Paul S. Kelly

the sum of $468.75 to pay the claim of Jennifer Johnson of 520 Woonsocket Hill Road, North Smithfield, Rhode Island 02896 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by snow and ice thrown from the Route 116 overpass during a snow removal procedure, by a state employee driven truck while claimant Johnson was driving southbound on Route 295 in the town of North Smithfield on or about January 13, 2002;

the sum of $69.98 to pay the claim of Eunice Ornazian of 23 West River Parkway, North Providence, Rhode Island 02904, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 10, in the city of Providence, on or about July 23, 2001;

Senator Dominick J. Ruggerio

the sum of $938.30 to pay the claim of Kenneth Rotella of 4 Price Lane, Smithfield, Rhode Island 02917 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by a descending gate arm prematurely released by an entrance booth attendant at Scarborough South in the town of Narragansett, on or about July 22, 2001;

Senator V. Susan Sosnowski

the sum of $1,502.46 to pay the claim of Joyce M. Shoop of 165 White Horn Drive, Kingston, Rhode Island 02881 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by a deer at or near Kings Factory Road, and Burlingame State Park in the town of Charlestown, on or about May 10, 2001;

Senator Michael J. McCaffrey

the sum of $442.79 to pay the claim of Eric J. Wishart of 20 Sarah Lane, Warwick, Rhode Island 02889 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 95 northbound and the Division Street off-ramp, in the city of Pawtucket, on or about November 4, 2000; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sums.
