A N A C T

RELATING TO TAXATION -- PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 44-3 of the General Laws entitled "Property Subject to Taxation"

is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

44-3-54. Tax exemption in the town of Middletown. – Notwithstanding any other

provisions of the general laws to the contrary, the city council of the town of Middletown is

authorized to determine, by ordinance or resolution, exemptions from property taxation for the

“Sons of the Revolution” society located in the town of Middletown.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
