H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A SURVEY OF ALL CROSSWALKS ON STATE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS IN THE TOWN OF

MIDDLETOWN ON ISSUES OF SAFETY

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby requests the Director of the Department of Transportation to

conduct a comprehensive survey of all crosswalks on state roads and highways in the town of

Middletown pertaining to issues of safety such as the number, appropriateness, and location of

crosswalks, lighting, signage, and safety during the day and at night and all other appropriate

issues; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Director of the Rhode Island Department of

Transportation.
