A N A C T

RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, and

pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled “Solemnization of

Marriages” the following persons are hereby authorized and empowered to join the following

persons in marriage:

     Debra Smith may join William Trabulsie and Jessica Ross in marriage within the state of

Rhode Island on or about May 15, 2004;

     Kenneth Laurence, an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, may join

Melissa Sue Burke and James Edward Phillips, III in marriage at a place within the city of

Newport on or about April 23, 2004;

     Cole W.D. Stanton may join Timothy Walter Lai and Katherine Elizabeth Steere in

marriage within the city of Providence, Rhode Island on or about April 24, 2004;

     The Honorable Bruce M. Selya, may join Gerrit Jan Brouwer and Leslie Pease Franklin,

in marriage within North Providence, Rhode Island, on or about June 5, 2004; and

     James Dodge may join Michael Mullen and Gina Miranda in marriage within the town of

Narragansett, Rhode Island on or about May 2, 2004.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
