A N  A C T

RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

     

     Introduced By: Representatives Fox, and Watson

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

 

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, and

pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled “Solemnization of

Marriages” the following persons are hereby authorized and empowered to join the following

persons in marriage:

     Mark Yabut, a former minister of Rhode Island Church of Christ, may join Joshua

Andersen and Karen Church in marriage at a place within the town of Narragansett, Rhode Island

on or about May 22, 2004; and

     Jeffrey Drogin, M.D. may join Elizabeth Drogin and Jason E. Tundermann in marriage at

a place within the town of Barrington, Rhode Island on or about August 7, 2004; and

     The Honorable John D. Harris, a judge on the Los Angeles County (California) Superior

Court, may join Stephen Terrence Skoutas and Jody Eden Lenke in marriage at a place within the

city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about July 17, 2004; and

     Judge Harold Baer, Jr., United States District Court, Southern District of New York, may

join Courtney Megan Cahill and Sam Saha in marriage at a place within the city of Newport,

Rhode Island on or about May 28, 2004; and

     Robert J. Grant of Warwick, Rhode Island, may join Brooke McAuley and Thomas A.

Grant in marriage at a place within the city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about September 5,

2004; and

     Judge Duane R. Merrill of the State of New York, may join Amanda M. Brown and

Michael D. Merrill at a place within the State of Rhode Island on or about July 23, 2004; and

     Alphonse Witt may join Kelly Woodward and Joseph Mahoney in marriage at a place

within the city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about August 21, 2004; and

     The Honorable Suzanne V. DelVecchio, Chief Justice of the Superior Court in

Massachusetts, may join Kerry Lyn O’Connell and Michael James Masone in marriage at a place

within the city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about August 6, 2004; and

     W. Edward Wood may join Meghan Grant and Caleb Aker in marriage at a place within

town of Hopkinton on or about June 27, 2004; and

     Jane Mitchell, a Justice of the Peace from Uxbridge, Massachusetts, may join Thomas

Galla and Melissa Mitchell in marriage at a place within the town of Smithfield on or about

October 16, 2004; and

     Donald A. Dragon, Jr. may join Laurie S. Dragon and Gregg A. Lessly in marriage at a

place within the town of Narragansett on or about June 6, 2004; and

     Ernest D. Humphreys may join Ashley Erickson Bowen and Jake McFarland Swenson in

marriage at a place within the town of Barrington on or about September 25, 2004; and

     Joseph L. Pirelli may join Erin Bryn Hickie and Paul G. Olean in marriage at a place

within the town of Narragansett on or about September 12, 2004; and

     Christopher Robinson Bush may join Kate Elizabeth Bush and Gregory L. Anderson in

marriage at a place within the city of Newport on or about August 14, 2004; and

     Rodger Good, a licensed minister with the United Church of Christ in Maine, may join

Bethany Elayne Fitzgibbons and Scot Edward Furlong in marriage within the town of Westerly,

Rhode Island on or about June 13, 2004; and

     Dr. Evelyn Grollman may join Johanna Schneider and Leland Johnson, Jr. in marriage

within the town of Tiverton, Rhode Island on or about August 21, 2004; and

     Frederick Sneesby may join Jessica A. Zimmerman and James P. Kenney in marriage at a

place within the city of Warwick on or about August 7, 2004; and

     The Honorable Ruth Sussman may join Nicole Browning and Steven Rifkin in marriage

within the town of Little Compton, Rhode Island on or about June 19, 2004; and

     Kenneth Laurence, an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, may join

Melissa Sue Burke and James Edward Phillips, III in marriage at a place within the city of

Newport on or about April 23, 2004.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
