S E N A T E R E S O L U T I O N

PROCLAIMING MARCH 14TH - 20TH, 2004 TO BE TALL CEDARS WEEK IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND CONGRATULATING TALL CEDARS OF LEBANON OF NORTH AMERICA ON THEIR 102ND ANNIVERSARY

     WHEREAS, March 18, 2004 marks the 102nd Anniversary of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon

of North America; and

     WHEREAS, The Supreme Forest of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America has

proclaimed March 14th – 20th, 2004 to be Tall Cedars Week; and

     WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars are deeply committed to the search for a cure to

neuromuscular diseases and continued support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's research

programs through the Tall Cedar Foundation; and

     WHEREAS, An enormous asset to surrounding communities, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon

members are dedicated to becoming more socially aware and resourcefully active in their

communities; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby proclaims March 14th-20th, 2004 to be Tall Cedars Week in the State of Rhode Island; and

be it further

     RESOLVED, That we extend our best wishes to the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North

America on their 102nd Anniversary. We applaud and commend them for their admirable

commitment to the search for a cure for neuromuscular diseases; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Massasoit Forest #91, c/o John Lawson III.
