A N A C T
AUTHORIZING
AN INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF REAL, PERSONAL, AND MIXED PROPERTY WHICH THE
NEWPORT COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, INC. SHALL BE ENTITLED TO TAKE,
HOLD, TRANSMIT AND CONVEY, AND GRANTING EXEMPTION FROM ALL TAXATION

is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION
1. Section 1 of "An Act Authority an Increase in the Amount of Real,
Personal,
and Mixed Property Which the Newport County Community Mental Health Center,
Inc.
shall
be Entitled to Take, Hold, Transmit and Convey, and Granting Exemption From all
Taxation,"
approved May 10, 1978, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section
1. The Newport County Community Mental Health Center, Inc., a nonbusiness
corporation
organized in 1977, is hereby authorized to take, hold, transmit and convey
real,
personal,
and mixed property to an amount not exceeding one million dollars
($1,000,000) ten
million
dollars ($10,000,000);
and shall be exempt from all state and local taxation so long as
said
property shall be used for the purposes for which said corporation was
incorporated.
SECTION
2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
