A N A C T

RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH, RETARDATION AND HOSPITALS -- COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any general or public

law, rule or regulation and further subject to approval of the Rhode Island Department of Human

Services, the Rhode Island Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals, subject to

appropriation is hereby directed to amend the Rhode Island Community Mental Health Medicaid

Procedure Manual so as to permit separate billing for services provided by programs operated by

a Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center and fully certified by the International Center

for Clubhouse Development; provided, that such services are medically necessary and clearly

specified in the client's individual treatment plan.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
