H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

RENAMING, AMENDING AND EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE SPECIAL HOUSE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE TRANSPORTATION OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS

     RESOLVED, That the name of the special house commission created by resolution No.

352 passed by the House of Representatives at its January session A.D. 2004, and approved June

23, 2004, entitled "House Resolution Creating a Special House Commission to Study the

Transportation of Liquefied Natural Gas" shall hereby be known as "A Special House

Commission to Study the Transportation of Liquefied Natural Gas on the Narragansett Bay,

Mount Hope Bay and the Roadways of Rhode Island"; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the composition of said house commission is hereby amended to

consist of seventeen (17) members: five (5) of whom shall be members of the House of

Representatives, not more than four (4) from the same political party, to be appointed by the

Speaker of the House; one (1) of whom shall be the State Fire Marshall, or designee; one (1) of

whom shall be the Director of Emergency Management, or designee; one (1) of whom shall be

the Attorney General, or designee; one (1) of whom shall be the Adjutant General, or designee;

one (1) of whom shall be the Director of the Public Utilities Commission, or designee; one (1) of

whom shall be the Director of the Department of Transportation, or designee; one (1) of whom

shall be the Director of the Turnpike and Bridge Authority, or designee; one (1) of whom shall be

the President of the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs, Inc., or designee; one (1) of whom

shall be the President of the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association, or designee; one (1) of

whom shall be the President of the Rhode Island Hospital Association, or designee; one (1) of

whom shall be the President of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns, or designee; and

one (1) of whom shall be the President of the Rhode Island Harbormasters Association, or

designee; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the purpose of said commission shall be to study the transportation of

liquefied natural gas on the Narragansett Bay, Mount Hope Bay and the roadways of Rhode

Island; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the special house commission created by resolution No. 352 passed by

the House of Representatives at its January session A.D. 2004, and approved June 23, 2004,

entitled "House Resolution Creating a Special House Commission to Study the Transportation of

Liquefied Natural Gas" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the House

of Representatives on or before March 15, 2006, and said commission shall expire on August 15,

2006; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 352, passed by the

House of Representatives at its January session A.D. 2004, and approved June 23, 2004, be and

the same are hereby rescinded.
