A N  A C T

RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

 

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, the

Honorable C. Ian McLachlan, Judge of the Appellate Court of the State of Connecticut may join

Lucas Whitney McGee and Portia Taylor Johnson in marriage, within the City of Providence,

Rhode Island on or about September 30, 2006. The Honorable C. Ian McLachlan is hereby

authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in

accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Jennifer

Marie Jagdmman may join Jill Costantino and Jon William Charland in marriage at a place within

the town of Narragansett on or about June 24, 2006. Ms. Jagdmman is hereby authorized and

empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to, and in accordance with, chapter

15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Richard

R. Nathan may join Tara M. Nathan and Machiste Rankin in marriage at a place within the Town

of Lincoln on or about September 16, 2006. Mr. Nathan is hereby authorized and empowered to

join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the

general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 4. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Ms. Lee

Roberts, the Township Supervisor of Bedford, Bedford Hills, and Katonah, New York, may join

Sarah Curran Voigt and Timothy Edgars Savage in marriage at a place within the Town of

Charlestown on or about September 16, 2006. Ms. Lee is hereby authorized and empowered to

join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the

general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 5. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Mona

Scheraga may join Beth Siegel and Charles Mosher, Jr. in marriage at a place within the City of

Newport on or about September 2, 2006. Ms. Scheraga is hereby authorized and empowered to

join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to, and in accordance with, chapter 15-3 of the

general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 6. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary,

Christopher C. Henes, may join Jennifer Marie Hannon and David Henry Abdou in marriage

within the City of Newport, Rhode Island on or about October 28, 2006. Christopher C. Henes is

hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in

accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 7. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Shawn

Michael Remy may join Albert William Dubreuil and Shelly Elizabeth Kenyon in marriage,

within the Town of Portsmouth, Rhode Island on or about July 2, 2006. Shawn Michael Remy is

hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in

accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 8. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, the

Honorable Howard T. Owens, Jr., Judge Trial Referee of the State of Connecticut Superior Court

may join Fritz R. Owens and Anna E. Cowles in marriage, within the Town of New Shoreham,

Rhode Island on or about May 20, 2006. Judge Howard T. Owens, Jr. is hereby authorized and

empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter

15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 9. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Michael

Pratt, certified by the state of Connecticut may join Michele L. Carletti and David R. Ahouse in

marriage within the city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about September 30, 2006. Michael Pratt

is hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in

accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 10. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Richard

M.C. Glenn, III may join James Greene Hunt and Ashley Alison Batting in marriage within the

city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about August 18, 2006. Richard M.C. Glenn, III is hereby

authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to, and in

accordance with, chapter 15-3 of the general laws entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 11. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Monroe

Engel may join Heidi Guetschow and Noah Finnegan in marriage, within the Town of New

Shoreham, Rhode Island on or about June 10, 2006. Monroe Engel is hereby authorized and

empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter

15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

     SECTION 12. This act shall take effect upon passage.
