H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE AND AMENDING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE SPECIAL HOUSE COMMISSION TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CORD BLOOD PROGRAM/BANK FOR THE FUTURE OF DISEASE MANAGEMENT IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

     RESOLVED, That the special house commission created by resolution No. 152 passed by

the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2006, and approved March 21, 2006

entitled "HOUSE RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL HOUSE COMMISSION TO

PROMOTE AND DEVELOP A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CORD BLOOD

PROGRAM/BANK FOR THE FUTURE OF DISEASE MANAGEMENT IN THE STATE OF

RHODE ISLAND" and as amended by resolution No. 340 passed by the House of

Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2006 and approved June 20, 2006, entitled "HOUSE

RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE SPECIAL HOUSE COMMISSION

TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CORD BLOOD

PROGRAM/BANK FOR THE FUTURE OF DISEASE MANAGEMENT IN THE STATE OF

RHODE ISLAND" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the House of

Representatives on or before June 29, 2008, and said commission shall expire on January 29,

2009; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the composition of said legislative commission is hereby increased

from nine (9) to ten (10) members by adding the Chief Executive Officer of Roger Williams

Medical Center, or designee; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 152, passed by the

House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2006, and approved March 21, 2006 and as

amended by resolution No. 340, passed the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D.

2006 and approved June 20, 2006 be and the same are hereby rescinded.
