J O I N T  R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES AND AMENDING THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE CURRENT STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF LIBRARY SERVICES IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

     RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by Resolution No. 306

passed by the General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2004, and approved June 8, 2004

entitled "Joint Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission to Study the Current

Strengths and Weaknesses of Library Services in the State of Rhode Island" and as amended by

Resolution No. 359 passed by the General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2006, and

approved June 23, 2006 entitled "Joint Resolution Reinstating and Extending the Commission

Life and Amending the Membership of the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Current

Strengths and Weaknesses of Library Services in the State of Rhode Island" is hereby authorized

to continue its study and make a report to the General Assembly on or before April 1, 2008, and

said commission shall expire on June 1, 2008; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by Resolution No. 306 passed by the

General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2004, and approved June 8, 2004, and as amended

by Resolution No. 359 passed by the General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2006, and

approved June 23, 2006 be and the same is hereby rescinded; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That said commission is hereby named "The Karla Harry Commission on

Libraries in Rhode Island."
