A N A C T

RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, The

Honorable John M. Greaney, an Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court in the

Commonwealth of Massachusetts, may join Karen L. McCauley and Scott Griggs in marriage,

within the Town of West Greenwich, Rhode Island on or about October 4, 2008. The Honorable

John M. Greaney is hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage

pursuant to, and in accordance with, chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of

Marriages."

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
